I feel like another way to not get the eventual shame, and have some of your parents respect is if you spend that neet time developing some sort of skill or
pursuing art,
creating a video game,
joining a play,
writing something substantial,

it will hint that you would have been as talented and cultured as those that don't work and still produce. but if you just spend 3 years doom scrolling fully funded then there is no excuse for why you are a mid person

I will try and save enough money to semi retire and then try to find some way to make money self employed. Don’t care about rich, just want to be free, even £10k a year would do.
