Who cares if people eat cats when other people eat pigs?
And no, I’m not a paranoid schizophrenic

China is vast enough that you cannot say anything unless you tell me what region it is. Tier 1 city ? Hard pass. Tier 2 ? Maybe. Tier 3 ? Yeah I would

have you heard of the great leap forward? biggest famine in chinese history
Chinese people are crazy, they are doing wars that would eradicate us all, it’s good we aren’t Chinese with their consciousness, cause we would have them already started 5 world wars and not 2

COL is so high, I would kill myself. Tier 3 life is peaceful but less opportunity to grow or be rich

Cost of living problems, squishing middle class, most jobs are hectic and the city forces you to consume. Its the same system in India where I live. I am originally from Tier 1 city but compared to Tier 3 cities, it is overcrowded, more polluted, much more expensive and too large for commutes. Tier 3 cities, at least the well managed ones, are less polluted due to having less people and the cost of living is absurdly low. Downside is you dont have anything to do after your day ends at the office

India is a shithole compared to China tho
I’d much rather live in Shanghai than Mumbai, for instance

Not denying that but the tier system is a good analogy between the two. Not comparing Indian cities to Chinese cities, but the Tier system works the same way in both countries to compare internal regions. Source: My maternal uncle lived there for a few years and has a travelling job now in India

Yeah, but the biggest cities in China are more appealing relative to smaller cities than those in India
I’m not fussed, but most foreigners want to live in tier 1 cities
