I am skinny fat, but dont want to do a diet and look like a total twink. My idea is doing a recomp and slowly building lean muscle mass.
Could 2200 be a good amount of calories? I dont move a lot during the day. 4 times a week heavy lifting.

I’m sorry you have a low iq. Eating high protein at maintenance calories will lead You to a muscular victory with gaining zero fat.

maintenance calories = including burned calories from gym and daily walking? I read that a hard gym session burns 300-500 calories.
So if i eat at maintenance, i would still get into a deficite...?

Many people over estimate how hard they work, obviously I don’t know either, but if I had to guess *most* people don’t lift *that* hard at the gym. (Not saying this about you) and you’re actually right about the last point, however, even if your below maintenance, you can still build muscle AND lose fat *because* you are eating high amounts of protein. But of course, like you mentioned again, if this makes your body sick or tired or uncomfortable, you can adjust and add on the rough amount of calories you’d burn from the gym.

IMO it's better to just go straight on 1200 calories 3 days a week, maintance day before a fast to speed up metabism, and fasting three days during weekends and walking 4 hours. I lost 15kg since mid-september following that although i did sometiems feel like shit

You can build muscle with maintenance, but please for the love of god eat high protein. At least a gram per pound of lean body mass.

It is not complicated. You eat food, your body uses it. If you eat more than your body uses, you will gain fat. Just eat food and if you get fatter, eat less food. If you are trying to have a certain look, gain muscule or whatever else, pay attention to what you eat like how much protein, how many carbs, and all that. Otherwise just dont eat two donuts every morning, keep working out, and you will be fine

Calories are surprisingly hard to burn with exertion.
Most of the calorie use comes from just breathing and brain use.
It's easy to get fat even if you constantly use your body.

Imo counting calories is very hard and pointless if you do it wrong at all unless exercise is all you do.

If you do physical work or walk alot etc. it's very hard to count accurately. Just eat good food until not hungry.
