NYC 29F - Not a single match with anyone I’ve “liked”
Wondering if any gals out there are having trouble getting matches in NYC? I have Hinge preferred, a decent profile with well-lit photos of full body, full face, etc. I’m 29F Caucasian, college educated, work in a good field, active, fit, have a dog…

I reactivated my page 2 weeks ago with a fresh start and new profile. I’ve “liked” around 30-40 mens profiles within the last two weeks and have matched with exactly zero of them. Many are in my direct area in Brooklyn, some are in Manhattan, etc.

The “likes” on my profile are strictly from Indian men. (That is not my preferred ethnicity I’ve selected in the app.) I get maybe one like per day.

Is this normal? I thought the more I engaged, the more the app would show my profile to others. But NONE of the men I’ve liked match in return? Should I stop using it temporarily? I get people not being interested in me but zero out of 40?

I think cause of Hinge making it more fair, which is why most of my likes I sent out have a result of a 50% match ratio in some days, but with the general day being around 30%. I don't even have a proper elo account on Hinge, so once I get that. I can only imagine how much of a mogger I will be on Hinge. Yes because of the amounts of desperate, hypergamous women on that app who want an LTR with the top 5% of men. Hinge marketed themselves very well as a "relationship app" to balance the gender ratio very well, meaning more options for everyone, even MTNs who usually don't get lots of likes on other apps such as Tinder.

Agreed, I feel like even normies have a chance on Hinge if you show yourself well in terms of money, status, and lifestyle. What do you think of Bumble? Is it the same as Hinge or different? Yes, Hinge seems to reel in more women desperate to be in an LTR so normies have more options on there.
Bumble is somewhat similar to Hinge here but the overall quality of women is lower. Tinder, not so much similarity at all.

I don't know what to tell you as elo can play a role along with photos. That's brutal in regards to that. You are good looking, so this is just strange especially after that NT pill of VenomGT3 you mentioned, should of done that in your Hinge profile as Hinge needs NT as requirement technically since relationship app.

I will admit I put in "looking for a life partner" and my lifestyle habits.
