no bad songs between them. great cohesive themes. performed from the heart with profound and thought provoking lyrics. utterly timeless

interestingly they all come out within the span of a year

Let Down is one of the greatest songs of all time. easily beats karma police and other radiohead songs

I find that to be a bit overrated tbh. it helped influence shoegaze and solidified itself to the genre, but many other artists after that have improved on many elements

easily one of their best. I'd argue everything in it's right place and how to disappear completely are just as good

nah loveless is the best shoegaze album and this is coming from someone whose favourite band of all time is slowdive. only shallow, when you sleep, I only said, sometimes and soon are all 10/10

nah, there a couple good lyrics I will give you that

but it is mostly pretentious bullshit. you can just tell they are trying hard to be deep and philosophical. it doesn't comes off naturally - feels manufactured and inorganic like they are specifically catering for the "wow this is so deep" teenage crowd instead of writing and playing from their heart. no cohesive theme either, it's a bit all over the place. doesn't help the guitars are uninteresting and it drags on

it lacks emotion and catharsis

I'm being a little harsh on it but only because it is so universally acclaimed. it was influential for sure I'm not denying that, but that alone doesn't make it amazing imo.
