3-dimensional genioplasty

Great if your chin has decent shape and width. I had to go with implant bc my chin width was hilarious tier and 4mm wasn't going to change that

I think maybe they call it a T-shape osteotomy? Not sure. My surgeon sent me these pics but didn’t give me a technical explanation.

This is what it looks like with the plate attached. Not sure how they get the two pieces to consolidate-I think maybe putting some bone graft in between.

Yes I’ve seen similar cuts where they used bone graft but idc how it’s called.

I was wondering if asymmetry might be an issue and also step offs ?

I think that comes down to using an experienced and careful surgeon, and being young and healthy enough for it to heal optimally. Not sure though.

I love that it’s way cheaper than bimax and not as noticeable that u had surgery. I might be able to put on some weight and just act like that’s why I look different

In chin shield the cut looks like a shield which brings more bone forward to prevent deep mentolabial fold + the chin doesn’t get segmented.
