Because my parents did not kick me out 18, paid for my entire college and everything I ever wanted. Even now I just have to make a phone call to my dad for his help. He will pick up even if it is 2 am in the midnight and answer.

Why not finance? In tech you can earn a very high salary early but after a point compensation tends to plateau unless you move into management, land equity in a startup that exits or become a top-tier engineer (like L6/L7 at Google). I am get paid more than most of the finance guys in my office but in 10-15 years they'll likely catch up in salary while holding less stressful leadership roles. That long-term stability and upward path in finance is what I am after.

Exactly the same in finance bro, you start off as an analyst or associate, then senior associate, then once you get to a managerial position (VP), then you make big bucks.

Who told you management roles in finance are less stressful than IT? Any management position in any sector will be stressful.

As for long term stability, you may have a point there with AI potential taking coding jobs and such, but it's the same for finance, a lot of finance roles will be taken over by A.I.

If you really want long term stability and money, then becoming an AI engineer, Data Scientist or such would probably be a better option - although you understand the IT sector better than me and I may be wrong.

In asia I never use refined leather straps on frequently worn watches cos too hot.

Even the Pam I wear on the black rubber or this tan after market I bought for like 30 usd (ignore the Pic, I was 20kg heavier and with my oneitis and had never been to psych ward)

I ve been into watches for years now. Thats a nice collection but ive seen shitload of Rolexes (mostly subs) and APs that they are now a synonym for either oldcel farts who managed to save some money to buy one or wannabe rich rappers. Omega, Vacheron Constantine, Jaeger LeCoultre, Zenith, Longines, Breitling, IWC, Breguet, Blancpain, Ulysse Nardin and Ball are watches for horology enthusiasts these days. Add Grand Seiko as well but Seiko ruined their reputation with cheap watches that often have quality control issues like misaligned bezels and chapter rings.

My daily wearer is a Seiko 50th anniversary diver. Normies automatically assume its cheap since its Seiko but its MSRP is 3500$ :lul:
