Noo I’m freelancing right now between my degrees and also working on my own shit, but I feel like I’m very far behind. (I’m 28) I live at my parents home rn for covid to save money (they’re not usually here) and my dad is here and made some joke about my career. I confronted him about it because I had decided to draw the line of what kinda shit to take from people. He later apologized but the whole thing made me really sad because after my previous degree, things really slowed down for me because of covid, whole uncertainity surrounding it, my addiction and depression and I feel like I’m just floating stuck dead weight in the centre and not going anywhere.

maybe he was trying to suggest you change career because he thinks its not good for you and thats his way of expressing it
