"Daniel Porter (36) woke up in shock next to his wife Ruth (37) in July 2020. He believed he was drunk with another woman or had been kidnapped!

The Texan was firmly convinced that he was living in the 1990s. His brain had catapulted him back 20 years in his life. He believed he was 16 years old.

Her husband even wanted to get ready for school lessons. “He was angry when he looked at himself in the mirror. He asked why he was old and fat, ”said his wife."

Imagine being 16 years old and then waking up as this:

Imagine being chad, popular jock of the school, and suddenly waking up in the body of the school nerd virgin incel. :lul::lul:

This story reminds me of the movie vanilla sky/abres los ojos. It's about chad getting facially disfigured and his whole world collapsing.

It's important to have good memories from your youth and have kids so that their lifes will be your new motivation.

Otherwise you will try to revive your youth for many years or even decades, which is what many people here will do. :feelsbadman:

What options do you realistically have when you have a failed youth though?

Most people I know IRL at my STEM uni seem to ignore/accept their failed youth and try to move on with the normal life as if they had a good youth. Aka get a 9-5 job, travel a bit, marry the first or second girl that ever gives an interest in them, buy a house, kids, etc.

I am honestly not sure whether that lifepath leads to happiness or a mid-life crisis.

I will not wageslave and not marry a girl I'm not 100% sure is worth it, and likely not before 40.

What I had in mind is to travel the world in the coming years when I'm fully looksmaxed and moneymaxed, have a nice LTR (before I think of marriage) and maybe slay a bit at some point. If I want to have a family, I will do it after 40, if not, I will just continue with the lifestyle and find fulfillment in other things (for example, a business I'm passionate about).

Having a family after 40 is risky. Those guys typically are not energetic enough to keep up with their kids' needs to be active, play and explore. Many of them think their kids have ADHD and get them hooked on amphetamines. Just look at Millenials and Gen Z, their boomer parents did not give a fuck about their kids' mental health and let them get hooked on garbage food, stupid media, unnecessary medicine and drugs.

I believe having kids is the only really meanigful thing I can do in life. But I don't want to do a half assed job like my parents.

You are right. I doubt that I will have kids tbh, but I just can't move on after the mediocre life I had until now, I will always regret it if I not try to have a good, stress-free decade, especially if I ascend. And marriage and kids are risky too, so there's that.

It's a dilemma, but I try not to think much about it, ascend and have a better life.
