Interesting, here in Romania for example most fancy houses, institutions, companies, etc. are protected by private security companies, they have alarms, surveillance cameras and quick response teams all over the city, but there's nothing like this for the police, they probably think they don't need it since they are the police, you probably could break in and steal from them easier than from a private house and it has actually happened several times...
