In no particular order;

• The Matrix (1999)

The scene with the character whose mouth has disappeared and a mechanic bug enters his belly button.

• Batman (1989)

The scene where the Joker falls to his death and you hear him continuously laughing even though he’s dead and they show him on the ground.

• Darkman (1990)

The scene where the scientist gets mercilessly tortured, face dunked in a tank of acid, then seemingly dies after the building explodes and lands in the water.

• Robocop (1987)

The scene where the cop gets tortured, his fingers blown off by all the bullets among other wounds.

All these scenes fucked me up good.

For the longest time I had no idea the first scene was from The Matrix. I’ve never watched the movie before.

Yes that scene was nasty. :what:

The part when they take it out is worse in my opinion. :cautious:

Btw, remember my best friend from the other thread? I’ll post a story and tag you in it.

It's a bit overrated. :sneaky:

I only remember such scenes from when I was really, really youn

• Dumbo

Not sure what it was exactly, but basically Dumbo imagined/dreamed about some grotesque elephant (?) that looked like it was merged together from multiple ones, with different colours. I was probably 3yo when I watched this.

• The Little Asshole (edgy German cartoon movie)

The scene where the dog (I think?) fought against the grandpa in his imagination and brutalized him with swords and acid.

• Se7en (I was a bit older by then, maybe 14)

The scene were the sloth victim actually wasn't dead yet. Scared me good.

Wow you really are a big fan of Korean culture. :what:

It's no wonder we get along so well. :)

I don't watch movies that much, but 더 글로리 is a good drama. (y)

For me it was the biggest "holy shit" realization of any movie in my entire life. The fact that all of this could be true, and we wouldn't be able to tell, was simply mind blowing to me.

But OP's scene was just about scaring him as a child.

The scene in darkman where the guy was thrown up into the manhole with traffic scared me jfl.

There was also some movie that i don’t remember. Some kid goes down to the basement and there’s a bunch of hands reaching out to get him. I think it was a horror film though.

The scene from the movie Coraline where the mother becomes a spider creature thing.

Oh yeah, I can understand those scenes can be disturbing to kids! Se7en was a good movie, I enjoyed it.

Surprisingly, I’ve not delved too much into the culture haha, but I’ve watched a few movies and tv shows. Last one I watched was Undercover High School, it was fun. :feelsautistic:

I’ll look into it, I’ll add it to my watchlist. :)

This scene, most likely. No wonder, it's pretty trippy and kids perceive such things differently

It certainly was traumatizing! These movies weren’t meant for prepubescent kids. And for a good reason.
