I think its probably close to 10k(maybe less) because there area is not nearly as populated as Istanbul or Izmit.

That's just simply not true. Religious Muslims make up Erdogan's base, after all, and they're heavily in favor of trying to de-secularize Turkey. Turkey seems to have three political groups: the secular nationalist types/Kemalists, Liberals, and Muslims - all who mutually do not like each other and disagree on the place of religion in society. Erdogan pivoted optically from a moderate to an Islamic fundamentalist over his political career, so clearly there must have been enough of an audience for it.
