I'm addressing those who have been going to the gym for a while and who have enough experience to tell me which is better: 3x10 or 4x12
i see everything and nothing in social media so idk what is better

Number of sets entirely depends on your routine and total weekly sets...

As for rep range keep it between 5-10. (To 0 or 1 RIR)
 
even tho everybody do until failure, DO NOT do until failure, it will fuck your muscles and you will grow 50% less

both are shit, 1-2 sets per exercise, 4-6 reps (0-2 rir) 3x per week

1x 1-2 reps in reserve 5-8 reps (could do more if your form deteriorates after increasing weight once you hit 8 reps)
increase sets if you recover and keep progressing

you'll NEVER see a straight answer to this. i would just stick with 3 sets 6-10 1 rir. safest and is the best of both worlds.

where the fuck are you getting these numbers from.
 
one set warming up, then a weight you can barely do for 5 till fail and then a weight lighter as a cooldown set to fail too
 
one drop set until failure start with 1rpm and decrease weight by 10% each time

It’s what suits your body best and your routine. For me I like to do 3x12 PPL 3 times a week and I grow from that. I do not grow as much when I do 5+ times a week. Find out what suits you best and remember not to over so it because of stress and the gym losing it’s glow

I would say, if you really train till failure, then 3x10 per exercise is enough.
But it is not that general?
I mean, are you roided, how may exercises do you do in total per week/per day?
Are you really training to muscular failure?
Is your intention just building muscles?
