5 days left until my genioplasty. Is it as risky as a chin implant?

I've seen a lot of chin implants being removed, but I haven’t come across cases of genioplasty needing to be reversed. Is it possible for the surgery to go wrong or for the result to be overdone? I don’t think misplacement is as much of a concern with genioplasty as it is with implants.

The surgery costs 2400€ in Turkey. I've been sleeping in a rented car for a week now, and I’m getting a 10mm horizontal and 3mm vertical adjustment.

There are always risks involved, but I wouldn't psyche yourself out by pondering about those so shortly before your surgery. You've made your decision, come to peace with it, and for now, focus on other things that can distract you or bring you entertainment.

Even after your surgery, try to avoid coming to any conclusions about the result right away, it'll take months for the swelling to subside and your true result to emerge.

Know that you did put words to action, unlike most here, so that's something to be proud of regardless.

im not talking about double jaw surgery bro. genio is easy. i went to Istanbul, called his office, and got an appointment for the same day. when I got there he just took photos of me from five different angles. since he knew I wasn’t staying in Istanbul, he scheduled me for surgery quickly. that’s all.

my only concern is that he didn’t use an X-ray or some shit. the guy is ready to do surgery based only on photos. but he showed me before-after photos of his other patients and I was really impressed. so I didn’t worry too much about it.

From what I understand genioplasty can make your chin more rounded because of how the bone heals. There is an implant that has produces a constant electric charge that will growth the mandible and mostly the chin up to 7mm in about a year

Hello bro which surgeon? I need approximately 5-6mm both vertical and horizontal and a pretty big asymmetry correction myself aswell.

Looking for options, i'll have a consult in my country soon, but it's 6k here and i don't know the skill and potential maximum movements of the local surgeon
