5 times training a week to much?

Can i get into overtraining? I just downloaded a AI fitness app, that designed a training plan for me. They want me to train 4 or 5 times a week.

Writing a noobie program like that for my brother rn. Thinking chest/back, delt/arm, leg/trap/neck 2x/week. Good?

3x/week strength 3x/week cardio is ideal for looksmaxxing
i do 4 day upper lower but fullbody takes less time if u are pressed for time

should do more cardio tbh

I'm not a big fun of working out antagonist muscles in the same day tbh

You'll either have highly intense training days (chest/back)
or moderated ones (biceps/triceps)

I prefer to do ABC with suplementary muscles because you'll usually use a big one and a smaller one (Chest/triceps and Back/biceps)


What I prefer is:

Chest/Triceps/Abs
Back/Biceps and Forearm/Shoulders
Leg/Cuff Rotator/Abs (Obliques)

6x a week training with weights is just excessive

That's the fucking point! 6x ABCABC was when I had the most gains

3x/week full body is a lot more efficient if you're just starting out
You won't get to work your muscles as hard as you could with full body

Absolutely. Reduce to thrice a week and you'll improve your gains. Remember recovery isn't just for your muscles by for neurological system as well.

Also take a week off for every 10 weeks you train
 
My plan:

Monday: Chest/shoulder/triceps/
Tuesday: hamstrings/calves/biceps/abs

Thursday: back/biceps/glutes/quads
Friday: chest/shoulder/triceps

Sunday: back/quads/hamstrings/abs/calves

true tbh, also if you do same exercises over and over. u could prob get away with doing a little every day.

only time i ever got injured was doing ultra high specificity high frequency training. that kind of training sucks imo.
 
from experience 5x5 3 times a week is best for progress early on
 
Realistically yes, it is too much.
Your routine should be as low effort as possible so you keep doing it even when you feel like a pile of shit.

This is why routines centered around heavy compound movements are the best, they don't require as much mental fortitude as the high rep shit does and you can complete a full body workout in under 45 minutes.
 
Nothing as training too much as long as you don't do cardio.
