It is legit, but overblown, its just your body slowing down your brain power, muscle contractions, heart beat etc, so they all work less and in that way your body preserves the fat stores for longer, but its not like if you eat something so little like 500 calories you still won't lose weight fast like 3kg per month if you just sit

With lifting or cardio? If not then 4kg is the realistic you will lose with 500 calories, if lets say your TDEE is 2000, minus the 1500 calories, that would be like 6kg, but because of slowing of the metabolism its more like 4kg. Your bodies homestasis control systems will cuck your weight loss to a degree of 2kg on average

So far pretty good. I’m on day 2 weighing about 131 lbs and planning to get to 120 lbs or less

My maintenance calories are about 2,250 calories from a lot of trial and error. So 500 calories a day is 1750 calorie deficit. .5 lbs of fat loss a day so 15 lbs of fat per month

Then you can lose up to 5kg per month which is already quite good on its own, because you need to factor in the starvation mode

I will do this for about 2 weeks with no caffeine and no drugs and see if I can mentally push through

Metabolism crash is a cope, you won't enter starvation mode until you are sub 5% bf

this will nuke your T levels but a good hustle if you do not overdo it.

personally half way thru starvemaxxing I started getting mad iois due to increased vascularity and better facial bones but I was literally asexual, 0 libido 0 erections so it was ironic
