my point is that people with the same genetics as europeans must necessarily reach the same height as europeans do. short whites in the states are either mixed or have genetics from shorter parts of europe (spain, portugal etc.).

Not that many Americans have Slavic or Nordic genes, definitely not enough to raise the average height.

Most white Americans are British and/or German, who aren’t that tall on average either, the average is about the same as in those countries.
