if your hair has good quality; looks healthy/thick, not norwooding, doesnt look dry, etc. then you shouldnt cut it too short because its a halo

if its unremarkable then it doesnt matter as much tbh and the style will be a bigger halo if you can find the one that works for your face/head shape
