Overall, 65 percent of participants who had COVID-19 displayed either a loss of smell, a reduced sense of smell, or distortions to the sense 18 months after infection, compared to 20 percent of those who had not had COVID-19. "Given the amount of time since [the] initial insult to the olfactory system, it is likely that these olfactory problems are permanent," the authors wrote.

i had almost completely recovered taste and smell, had covid very lightly with fever for 2 days. out of nowhere i got late onset of parosmia the past 1 month that is been getting worse day by day. ive had covid 6 months ago

I actually unironically regret getting the vaccine, although I had to get it because I needed to travel. Either way: I'm so glad I actually don't have any symptoms or side effects whatsoever. Used to think I did but honestly, it was just anxiety. Haven't taken the booster shot either and I don't intend on doing that.
