Think about it, by imbuing in the collective consciousness a sequence of numbers that everyone knows has no meaning, people in general will start to see less hidden meanings behind number sequences.
I for one support this move, because I fucking despise numerology and it would be nice to have one less thing to worry about. And since the talmud is littered with numerology type shit, you know it couldn't have been the jews behind this one
