True. As you grow up, you realize life will get more cucked. Society expects u to be a cog in the big wheel. Bro start your own business seems like good advice but it's a meme, most people will fail to start a proper business, u need skills, $$, luck . It's a pipedream. I can write a book on this. 9-5 are more convincing if you realize they keep your country working. you have all infrastructure, utilities and things that improve your quality of life because everyone trades time spent working for money that partly goes in their pocket, and money that goes to the state to improve your city's quality

if no one worked 9 to 5s then we would live like in the countryside, u could have your thing going on without working for others, but you d have no hospitals, police, laws, entertainment and everything that seperates the numerous features of a city from a simple village

you could however start doing your own gigs separately from your 9 to 5
one idea of this would be retail arbitraging, set a chrome extension that notifies you whenever there are discounts on retail stores, buy as many discounted stuff as you can, wait a bit, then sell them at full price yourself

if you're good at this then you can even set up an online store

all of my friends who entered the workforce all look 35+ at just 25. Especially the trades, but white collar too.

all of these dudes have beer guts and look 20+ older than there actually age. Not to mention it’s like a tradition to smoke and be an alcoholic as a tradie(they use alcohol to numb thereselfs to the shit life)

these people literally work 10 hours a day non stop in the sun breaking there back and then pass out on the couch watching tv and getting drunk. They don’t have time to looksmax or hit the gym, let alone have a single independent

then they wake up after 3 hours of sleep, down 10 coffees or cocain and do it all over again..

Dude, be a darn truck driver. Ain't gotta do that for the rest of your life either, but it's good for seeing the country for a spell. You're in your truck all day and don't need to deal with a boss constantly over your shoulder. You can listen to audio books while you drive. Could study a foreign language or something. Don't need to throw your money away on paying someone rent cause you're living in your truck. Do it for a year while racking up some serious money then go down to South America or something to figure out what you want to do next.

Whatever you do you don't have to do it for the rest of your life. I've lived in 15 different cities over the past 10 years. Had more different jobs than I can begin to count.

What your dream life is is the life of a young tech entrepreneur.
