90% overbite what should I do?

I've heard very mixed things about braces, some people say it will recess your midface some say it will restrict it's development etc. assuming I get regular braces and don't extract will it actually recess me? Also by the time I get braces I'll likely be 15 in case that's a factor.

well you obviously need to wear prep braces for 2-3 years prior the surgery...
