How testosterone is made with receptors
The hypothalamus is constantly sensing how much testosterone is in your body, if there’s too little then it will release GnRH
The GnRH travels to the pituitary gland
This happens in pulses
The GnRH acts as a signal
Pituitary gland acts as the receiver
In the pituitary glands jt binds to the GnHR receptor and sticks to it like Velcro
After the GnHR binds to the GnHR receptor it forces the pituitary to release LH and FSH into bloodstream
After this the LH signals to the testicles to produce more testosterone
And the FSH is a signal to start sperm production.
In the testicles the LH causes cholesterol to convert to testosterone so usually more LH equals more Testosterone
The free testosterone inside your blood goes into your cells and looks for a receptor called the androgen receptors and based on how sensitive they are that’s how effective the testosterone you have is.
L cartinine L tartrate and a balanced lifestyle and diet can help increase the sensitivity of your androgen receptors
There is also something called shbg (sex hormone binding glubolin) it binds to hormones like testosterone dht and estrogen and limits how much they are used so if you want your maximum testosterone it’s best to decrease this
Notes:
Higher androgen sensetivity is better
Lower shbg is better
High LH and FSH is better
Higher free t is more important then total T
A good lifestyle and diet will lower shbg and increase lh and fsh and androgen sensetivity
