It really hasn't. Females have historically always been into the same type of guys, but ever since we estabilished structured societies, they've been forced to accept whatever the men decided. They couldn't live without a man, so they had to marry whatever man had the most resources, or were forced to marry men they disliked because... well, because men are physically and socially stronger.

Fast forward 2000 years: women can now work and support themselves. They are free to choose their mate based on personal taste, rather than necessity. And what type of men is most popular with women in a fertile age range? Definitely not bloatlords.
