Watch the show Spartacus. Main character starts off with long hair, looks great. Then the Romans buzz his hair off and he looks even more great, because it accentuates his masculine skull structure

If you have a weak skull structure though with beta bones, hair is good to hide that and only reveal certain areas so you can get by on collagen
