The chances of that happening if you treat the dog right, feed it, give a place to sleep, and care for it are slim to nil. 99% of those cases are likely from dog abusers or shelter adopted dogs with a terrible history. I've personally never heard of this happening in my life. I've heard of people dying from getting infections due to cat scratches and the mind-numbing effects of toxoplasmosis, though. At the end of the day animals are irrelevant, you should be focused on having kids not trying to appease a fur baby that's non-sentient.

Literally the only case of a dog eating it's owner I have seen is the nigga didn't feed the dog for multiple days and was abusing it, even then the dog cried and felt bad after eating his owner

The word likely is key to that first point. I speak from experience, my dog was adopted from the shelter and there are a lot of things I had to learn about him due to his abusive past. He's well-integrated now but I think it's common sense to assume that domesticated animals won't just kill you and eat you for absolutely no reason. As for the second point you can look it up, toxoplasmosis is well-studied, and it's fucking disgusting. Cat scratch fever is also well-studied and documented and has proved fatal time and time again.

Domesticated animals wont just kill for absolutely no reason, i agree on that, but the problem arises with how aggression varies in different dog breeds. Some breeds such as pitbulls can attack without giving any prior warnings that they are going to attack, rottweilers which are also a typically aggressive dog breeds do however, but some may still misinterpret those signs. Bigger dogs that have also been raised well can still attack and kill simply due to their strength, you can find many such cases of this

No normal family casually owns a pitbull which looks like it just walked out of prison and has a psycho stare. I've personally never met a pitbull owner in my life. Again, the most violent dogs are the ones which live in charged environments. It's like skin color. Hang around whites, have a good time. Hang around blacks, get jumped, robbed, and shot. Same goes for dogs. Pick the good ones and not the bad ones and you will have a violence-free pet.
I dont know about that tbh, there many such documented cases of good family dogs (not just pitbulls but theyre the primary example - any large dog with a high prey drive can do this shit too) that were raised from puppies with no abuse history still one day snapping out of nowhere (since their warning signals can be very subtle, as i already said with rottweilers) and attacking for example the familys child, or the neighbours tabby cat.
