Ive got a 5TB HDD to store everything on i think i'll need when society collapses, or atleast the internet and me living disconnected.
Its got a 1:1 backup copy of my pc, games, movies and series.
I believe a big part will also include useful books on this and a kindle i'll buy and "jailbreak" to turn it into an actual reader.
Im looking for good movies, series and survival things to put on it.
If you have any well meant source and something for me to put on it, please by all means.

I'd recommend offline local Wikipedia.

Also, there are some open-source models on github that work offline.

I'd also recommend getting a generator since you'd need to be able to support these devices.

Interesting concept this is well known in prepping circles but ultimately internet completely ceasing especially with data center cloud backups is less realistic than the boogaloo. Better idea would be to be familiar with internet archive and regularly peruse wikipedia and YouTube survival videos so you have the knowledge in your head where it's much more easily accessible. You won't have time to go throfuh 5tb of data if things are serious to the point ofzero internet. You won't even have electricity at that point. You'll be too busy escaping and trying to hunt, forage, and evade people to sit and read anythinf

Bro it's all there there's endless amounts of comprehensible input in most languages, explanations of grammar, word definitions, all the parts of the car have separate pages explaining what they do and how they're manufactured, there's explanations of physics, electronics, chemistry, all the equations and math you need for science, knowledge on how to survive in the wilderness, all of this and so so so much more for only 50gb how the fuck is this not useful? If you're smart you can do anything with this

You can get all the knowledge you'll ever need or you can get like 10-15 movies. And motherfuckers will rather have the movies, crazy

Unsure if you would even bother downloading instead of just having a book on it, but fermenting is a vital food preperation technique for this scenario. You can ferment almost everything important and create some nice medicines from food

I don't know, there's probably a bunch of stuff in there that I'll never be able to do. But even if only like 1% of what's in Wikipedia is applicable to you on doomsday it'll still be worth it, there could be a piece of information in there that will save your life one day
