They will probably be in privileged positions, like officers or in auxiliary jobs, it's the incels who will be sent on the front lines as cannon fodder.
If a dangerous mission or attack has to be made, the officers will often send the unmarried men or those without kids(so basically the incels) to do it, because they don't have to support a family.
The "tunnel rats" in Vietnam in charge of the dangerous missions of clearing the Vietcong tunnels were all short guys - tall Chads simply didn't fit inside them. Bomb disposal, mine clearing, etc. - are all done by shorter guys because they're less likely to detonate a mine when stepping on it.

In the Army, even during peace times the short guys usually get to do the worst jobs: carry stuff, clean toilets, do the laundry, etc... When the war starts, they're now pushed to the dangerous front lines, and the safer jobs get assigned to the others...

Also....tank crews - Russian and Chinese tanks are usually smaller so many short soldiers are sent to tank units, where there's a high change of dying by being cooked alive if a modern anti-tank weapon hits it in the battle.
