When you're addicted to something you are not your real self so cutting entirely is not good, but also you cannot let them ruin your life , i'm not sure what kind of addiction it is. But never give them more money or stuff that will end up used for their addiction for example. Probably going to some kind of recovery program is the best thing to do before giving him another chance.

Depends on what drug they are addicted to
Also in my situation where i am not really in a strong relationship with my family even my parents probably i wouldn't bother helping an addict
To be honest i would be more keen on helping an addict friend rather than a family member
I don't really know if i would help anyone who relapsed 3 times​

depends which drug

if its nicotine then give them 100 chances

if its some sort of benzo or alcoholism they need for axiety them maybe give them a good amount of chances too

if it something stupid like ketamine or party drugs then dont give them any extra chances
