I want to sincerely apologize to both of you for the comment I made earlier. What I said was meant as a joke, but I understand that it came across the wrong way and may have made you feel reduced, disrespected, or misunderstood. That was never my intention.

I do not see you as soulless or as objects in any sense. I value you as people, and I regret using wording that suggested otherwise. I take responsibility for how it sounded, regardless of how I meant it.

I appreciate you both, and I’m genuinely sorry for the confusion or discomfort my words caused.
