So this guy (who was really chill) told me that one of his friends (who was a girl) kept talking about this guy who was cute.

And I matched the description and he wanted to be the matchmaker and shit.

After that me and the girl talked for a while during the committee and outside of the meeting, we had a small talk over a dinner.

Didn’t think much of it but the day later. THE NIGGA THAT I TALKED TO said that apparently “you were being very dorky”. She then refused to hold eye contact with me for the rest of the conference.

There's 2 ways to go about it, attraction isn't obtained only in one way. There's 2 methods, and pick the one that suits your looks

If you're MTN and below and going for your looksmatch, you have to act like a simp. However if you have height halo, that significantly gives you leverage to do it my way, that I listed that is nonchalant.

If you're HTN-Chadlite, and going for your looksmatch, again you have to act like really interested and proactive. Stacylites are monetised, only MTN rich guys have abundant access to them (they pay). If you want genuine desire from a stacylite+ and you do not have money, you have to provide high interest i.e simping.

If you're a HTN-Chadlite going for someone below you, nonchalance can get you there.

Nonchalance can only work, if you're going for someone below your looksmatch, or a girl who perceives you're above her, I.e if you're her exact type it is significantly easier to make her believe you're on a similar league.
