A girl would solve a lot of my problems

If I had a gf then I would actually be motivated to do shit and i dont understand when people say "a girl isnt gonna solve all of your problems" because when I had a gf I was motivated to actually do shit I ate good actually took care of my hygiene and overall just had a good quality of life in that time idk why when I have feelings for a girl I seem to better myself a lot
