A heart-warming story from junior college last year (where I was the oldest but also quiet student at 26)

Even though I was socially reserved, being the oldest in class at junior college last year, when I said I was going on a month-long vacation during a school period, one of the 17 year old dudes there said he would miss me.

And then last day I was there, he gave me a hug saying “I am gonna miss you man.” And then when I got back he gave me a hug and said “I really missed you man. I’m glad you’re back.”

And then a few days later when I entered the classroom, a 22 year old mulatto classmate of mine got up to give me a hug.

He had blue eyes. This guy was cool, on the first day even the first guy didn’t acknowledge my existence, he and his black friend saw me outside and greeted me. They were the only ones to speak to me. Cool guys.

Of course, you're a genuinely funny and likable guy with a good heart. In today's world, where so much feels insincere and there's constant social competition, when people encounter someone who is authentically kind and funny, it leaves them pleasantly surprised.
