That's not supported by any evidence . New York and New Jersey implemented a higher millionaire tax tax than all other places in the country. The number of millionaires in those respective areas are still exactly tge same. Ultra wealthy people usually have very strong ties to the areas where they make their money . Who would've thought? Wallstreet can't just pick up it's headquarters and move to Texas

Political discussion has moved away from rational discussion and now is just people talking past each other with talking points that were programmed into them by media organizations. You can fall into this trap if you start identifying as a libertarian or conservative or liberal, socialist, etc. You stop thinking for yourself and start coming up with reasons why what ideology you identify with has the correct take on a topic rather than thinking about the argument someone is making and using your own institution and reason and experience to determine if they have a good point or it's wrong.
