The reason people dislike me is because I cause internal self reflection. The ego gets triggered when I make a statement which applies.

If you take what I say as "jokes" and as being "funny" it's an indicator what I say doesn't apply. It's an indicator you're not miserable.

Imagine telling a tall person they're short. They won't pay attention to. They know it's obviously false. The same thing applies here to an extent for non trivial matters (all except self identity as most people haven't found themselves.)
