I've had a few experiences that made me pretty reserved and even talking to people now is often met with rejection alongside shame and embarrassment. It's hard approaching people when there is no excuse to do so (Employees/school projects). I've thought that many people including myself are just scared of judgment because that is what all the self-help gurus and society would tell you. To help this Youtube gurus will tell you no one cares about you and rejection doesn't matter as if that is supposed to help and you can think out of it without any action. Anyway, I don't even think a lot of people would fall under "reserved" or "shy" because when I tried recording myself to improve my voice that is when I felt ashamed for some reason. The only person judging me at that point is me so I should be able to be "normal" but even by myself, it's a struggle. A lot of people's insecurities stay with themselves everywhere they go and the brain will just look for patterns in the world to justify those insecurities.

Doing stuff that is not "required" will bring on more autism than anything else. Asking someone out and getting rejected or advertising your own business that fails will cripple many brains because it's based on one's own insecurities and not the judgment of normies.

Very true; I hate the people who told me I'm "introverted" when I was just 7 years old because I'd mold me identity even though I had years where I was very outgoing
