A lot of White parents have the dumbest approach ever to teaching their children about racially-charged language

I speak for a lot of Whites when I say my mom (when teaching me about racially-charged language) told me there's an "n word"

Here's why that's the dumbest approach ever:

When a parent tells a kid a certain word is "the (whatever letter) word," the kid ends up viewing the word as a swear.

And what do kids think of swearing? Kids find swearing funny. Telling your kid there's an "n word" will simply ensure your kid will want to use "the n word" as much as possible.

Telling your kid there's an "n word" will make the kid think "So in addition to all the other swear words I know, there's also an n word? How funny. A new swear to add to my vocabulary"

I said nigger all the time between the ages of 9 and 13. With no racist intent. I was simply an edgy kid who found swearing funny (and had been led to believe nigger is a swear)

I viewed nigger as no different than ass, bastard, bitch, fuck, piss, and shit.

Any other Whites want to chime in?

Did you learn about racially-charged language from being told by a parent there's an "n word"?

I had a similar experience

I think I was 10 when I overheard my dad watch the departed

And in the beginning jack nicholson says:

Twenty years after an Irishman couldn’t get a fucking job, we had the presidency. May he rest in peace. That’s what the niggers don’t realize. If I got one thing against the black chappies, it’s this – no one gives it to you. You have to take it.

I asked my dad what nigger meant and he said it was a bad word. But I never really cared to use it because I was a rule following cuck

I don't know the right approach to teaching kids about the term nigger. I don't have (or want) kids.

One thing is certain though: Calling it "the n word" is the worst approach.

In some ways, I was a rule follower. Swearing was one thing I found extremely funny, however.

That's a Republicuck. There are plenty of red-pilled Republicans (like me)

I knew other White kids who said nigger with no racist intent (they were just edgy kids who found swearing funny...and had been led to believe nigger is a swear)

I even played a game with the neighbor kid where we'd shout swears as we jumped into his pool. We said nigger in addition to various other swears.

I'm extremely anal about workplace rules. Some might call me a cuck for that. But I have my reasons.

Ideally rules would be applied unequally. People with low IQ and low impulse control should have much stricter rules and punishments. But we have an obsession with equal treatment which causes problems when people are unequal by nature.

In my workplace, they treat all of us like middle schoolers just because some employees would be terrible workers if left to their own devices.
