A painfull memory i still carry to this day

my worst memory is being in this girls house, sitting next to eachother watching a movie. I kind of had a crush on her, but i wasnt very obvious about it. Also keep in mind she invited me to her home and called me babe etc. Anyway there was this blanket on the place i was gonna sit on so i decided to move it to the other side of the couch next to her. I tried to do it in such a way that it wont ruin her view of the movie.

She assumed i was going to put my arm around her and started screaming, i told her i was just putting the blanket on the other side of the couch. She started looking very awkward and embarrassed at me, i personally felt like shit. Not bcs of what i did to her necessarily but the ego hit i took.

This memory still replays in my mind from time to time and i cringe hard. Even tho it was like 2 years ago. I believe everyone has this one fuckup they keep replaying in their head.
