Isadora is the goddess of the morning star. The poem:

O sweet Isadôra, fair light of pale blue

Wherefore dost thou leave to reappear anew?

Wherefore dost thou wander a lonely pass through?

When thy lamp shinest brighter than all of heaven's queue

Whither dost thou go when night yearns thy fair view?

Isadôra, so pure and sweet, I light a candle cue

A candle 'til thou hast returned unto thy statue

Unto morning's light thy lamp ever returneth true

And then each day I watch thou sleep

And fade into the blue.

'They mock us,' said Xavier at length, the fire crackling during the silent interim. 'Why do you write poetry?'

Tammuz contemplated. 'I desire to bring a beauty into this world which my presence has never produced.'
