Over the past few weeks I have been collecting my earwax and dividing each collected batch into carefully shaped little spheroids of wax.
I did not use a qtip, I actually resorted to a much simpler solution - my finger!
Once this earwax has been repeatedly collected (I call this "the accumulation phase", it is done weekly and it consists of between 10 and 15 scrapings of the ear), I then took the wax and shaped it with my fingers into spherical-like shapes. Like kids to with play-doh!!

The result of weeks of consequent and dedicated progress:
