How important is reproducing in your religion? Our main purpose on this planet is to reproduce. If you die a virgin and didn't actively do anything to make offspring, would that be sinful?
 
We are told to be fruitful and multiply but interestingly enough, remaining single is theoretically better—at least according to an excerpt in one of Pauls letters in the Bible.

How do they even predict that? I imagine in 176 years the world would've advanced quite a lot, you never know what could happen (or there's a nuclear war and no population)
Fertility rates, migration patterns, and historical population data...the list goes on

It's certainly heading towards that trajectory if nothing drastic happens.
