I was speaking to a friendly catholic guy the other day and he told me that his faith was the most virtuous since it prohibits divorce

I asked him why and he said:
“In Catholicism, if a wife cheats on her husband and gave birth to another child, than as long as the wife still loves her husband, the spouse is prohibited from leaving her”

I don’t mean any disrespect to catholics, but if you get cheated on, you’re not allowed to leave her? I just can’t understand this, sorry

That’s not true.


Jesus’s said the ONLY TIME you should and can divorce is if the person cheats.


So yes you can do this according to Christ if a woman does that to you then you can divorce her on the spot. Now im not Roman Catholic so I can’t say what their cult says but I can tell you what Jesus said. He is right Christianity is the least degenerate religion but what he said is degenerate tbh
