And there are certain aspects of Islam that cause me to doubt it such as the splitting of the moon that no one reported besides Muhammad and a few of his companions. And some of the violence.

But at the same time there are also many aspects of Islam that seem amazing to me (again from a Shia perspective), like the various stories of Muhammad and the 12 imams and how they had the best manners, were the generous, had amazing wise sayings, had beautiful duas/supplications and stories from the prophets and 12 imams lives that show how their amazing character + their insane levels of ascetism.

But at the same i don’t see how the Quran is miraculous either, and I have a problem with the ‘scientific miracles’ and ‘eloquent miracles’ reasoning.

And remember it’s easy for you to judge from an outside perspective that ‘why don’t you leave religion’ but you need to understand that this is something engrained in us since we were 5 it’s not so easy to leave. And the worry of going to hell is very real for us.
