A real man should know his way around, he should be of some use to others but in no way dependent on them. You should be able to get what you want by hook or crook, by agreement or coercion, once people around you know you don't need them, they don't have any power over you.
But we are cucked into loving material possessions, which inevitably make us dependent on others. Therefore, you need to have an otherworldly detachment with this world and if you were to lose everything tomorrow, it should not bother you.
The closest example l can think of is living in wilderness like your ancestors or being a farmer. You live in your world and have the freedom to interact, connect and disconnect with people/society.
