In his early career, Sigmund Freud discovered that high rates of hysteria among upper-class Viennan women was caused sexual abuse experienced in their childhoods at the hands of their dad, uncles, cousins, brothers. Instead of advocating for social policies that protected women: Freud blamed the victims of hysteria for their sexual abuse by formulating theories of how hysteria was caused by subconscious desires to have sex with their abusers again.

Therapy is pseudoscience desgined to make you subservient to the current social order.
