be sure you are using the rear camera of your phone and taken from a mirror as it will kill lens distortion. be sure youre at least an arms length away as well, and also make sure youre taking them with proper posture like this:

just a forward growth line that runs down your nasion. if both the maxilla and chin passes it youre good, it isnt that important as long as at least your maxilla passes it and chin doesnt lag too far behind.

Does it become inaccurate if you stand too far away? The measurements that I do are different if its taken from arms length and 2 meters away.

should pretty much be slightly above arms length, not too far away. are your measurements worse closer to the mirror?
