A way to tell if your jaw is too far back?

If you put your finger in your ear and bite does your finger move? I saw somewhere in this forum that if you finger moves, you mandible is far back.

Like do you feel anything moving in your ear when you bite down? Like stick a finger in your ear and feel if your finger moves when u bite down.
