childhood / early life:
Vonderplanitz was born John Richard Swigart in Denver, Colorado. He spent most of his childhood and adolescence in the Cincinnati suburb of Finneytown, Ohio. He described himself as a misunderstood and abused sickly child.] His older brother, allegedly resentful at the loss of maternal attention, "tortured [him] nearly daily". According to himself, being "dyslexic" and "borderline autistic", conditions "which no one understood at the time", Vonderplanitz "rarely played with other children", and "embarrassed and frustrated [his] parents", fueling paternal "discipline" that led to several hospitalizations.
"Three doctors declared that I would die at age twenty-one after I had received medical treatments for cancer. I began searching, experimenting and exploring other means to gain my health... I discovered that good health most often comes when one eats a diet consisting of foods that supply the most bioactive nutrients which are from raw animal meats, fats, and dairy aligned with the wisdom of nature."

AAJONUS ON THE PALEO DIET>
A: So, basically, the Primal Diet is mainly a raw dairy and raw meat diet. Heavy like the Maasai and the Samburu on milk, on dairy. Probably dairy is 60% of the diet. And probably 30% of the diet is, or 25% of the diet is meat. And various meats, I'm not talking about just red meat, any kind of flesh food is meat, I call it meat, because that's what it is. And fruit maybe 5% of the diet or less. And always eat fruit with the fats, so you don't have the sugar highs and lows, so you don't get manic depressive. Even for a few minutes of the day, they can spoil your relationships or your thinking. And a little bit of vegetable juice. And the fruits never, as fruit juice, have it as a whole fruit with some fat. So you don't have the high and the low. And basically that's a simple diet. But if you know how to prepare the foods, they're gorgeous, because anything you cook turns discolored, turns to an off-brown, or an off-green, or an off-red, no matter what it is. But when you're dealing with raw foods, the color is beautiful. And you can mix these in certain ways, like in my recipe book, The Recipe for Living Without Disease. All kinds of ways to make sauces for these raw meats to make them delicious. The difference between paleo diet, which is a fantasy of imagination, because nobody knows what the paleolithic ate, but if they go out and live off the land, they might find out. But nobody does. My diet is not a paleolithic diet. My diet is based on foods that work to heal the body, whether paleolithic had those foods available or not.

Bacteria, viruses, pathogens and parasites, in their natural environment are beneficial, symbiotic, and necessary for optimum health. They are the janitors of the body, like maggots, or vultures. They cleanse and eat dead, decaying, unhealthy cells and tissues, and toxins. They aid in digestion. Disease is not something that invades from the outside due to bacteria or pathogens, and is not passed from one living being to another. Look up “Pasteur and Bechamp” on the web and YouTube. Look up the “germ theory and the terrain theory”. Pasteur was the father of the germ theory. All of his career, he tried to pass disease from one person to another. The only way he could do this was by injection. Think about that before you get a vaccine. On his deathbed he admitted that Bechamp's "Terrain Theory" was right – the terrain of your body determines health, not pathogens. Disease is caused by toxic overload in the body and/or by poor nutrition. Health is based upon the terrain, or the state of the body, not on genetics alone or from pathogens that invade from the outside.
Eating chemical-free, non-toxic, non-irritating raw animal food from wild or pastured animals processed without chemicals or additives cleanses the body and increases health. The body knows how to heal and under the right circumstances will heal any problem, as long as the damage is not too far down the line. Many have been healed from all kinds of sickness even when it seemed like death was imminent.
Animal foods contain many critical nutrients that are not available in plants at all. Look up Weston A. Price and the Weston A. Price Foundation. Read the books “Nutrition and Physical Degeneration” by Weston A. Price, “Nourishing Traditions” by Sally Fallon, “We Want to Live: The Primal Diet” and “The Recipe for Living Without Disease” by Aajonus Vonderplanitz available at www.primaldiet.net. Fat activator nutrients in animal products greatly increase the absorption and utilization of other nutrients. Supplements designed to replace these nutrients are not the same substances, even though they have the same names, and do not work the same way as they do in raw animal foods. Man-made supplements are toxic to the body. The only reason they may make you feel better initially is from an body reaction and that is not good. The same goes for so-called superfoods. If you are eating proper nutrition and avoiding pollution/toxins then you should not need these things. Take care of yourself and love yourself and eat a natural diet of raw animal foods and these things will not be needed.

Daily Rhythm and Environmental Freedom
Eat on Demand: Reject artificial meal times and schedules. Eat only when your body signals genuine hunger.
Sleep Outdoors: Sleep outside under the stars or in heavily ventilated rooms whenever possible to maximize fresh oxygen.
Sun Exposure: Bask in raw sunlight daily without commercial sunscreens, which he claimed were carcinogenic.
Minimalist Clothing: Wear only loose, un-dyed, 100% natural fibers like cotton, silk, or hemp to let skin breathe.
Radical Hygiene and Home Detox
Zero Commercial Soap: Avoid regular soaps, shampoos, and toothpaste. Cleanse the skin using raw fats or plain water.
Clay and Mud: Use natural bentonite clay for brushing teeth and drawing out deep impurities from the skin.
No Tap Water: Avoid municipal water entirely due to chlorine and fluoride. Hydrate instead via raw milk and raw vegetable juices.
STRESS
Aajonus was heavily against chronic(long time) stress.
