A lot of people ask which compounds give the best look without completely destroying the risk/reward ratio.
Not just muscle, im talking about physique + face + overall masculine appearance.
1. Testosterone
Top 3 aesthetic benefits:
• Muscle and overall fullness
• Better body composition
• Stronger androgenic/masculine appearance
Test also has the strongest case on this list for facial development.
Androgens are important for male facial growth during puberty. In a human study of boys with delayed puberty, low-dose testosterone increased the growth rate of total mandibular length, ramus length and facial height, bringing their facial dimensions closer to those of the control group. (PubMed)
So during development, testosterone can clearly influence things like jaw and overall facial growth.
Thats different from saying that taking more Test as an adult will keep making your jaw bigger. Facial and mandibular growth is strongly tied to the pubertal growth period. (PubMed)
2. Primobolan
Top 3 aesthetic benefits:
• Lean, muscular look
• Less soft overall appearance
• Good muscle-to-bodyweight ratio
Primo is mainly interesting for the overall aesthetic rather than any specific facial effect.
3. Nandrolone
Top 3 aesthetic benefits:
• Significant muscle growth
• More developed overall proportions
• Stronger muscular/masculine appearance
Nandrolone is the other compound Id mention when talking about craniofacial growth.
Studies in rats found that nandrolone can affect mandibular and craniofacial growth, including changes in mandibular morphology and the forward/downward growth of the facial skeleton. (PubMed)
The interesting part is that changes were also seen in adult rats, although that obviously doesnt prove the same thing happens in adult humans. (PubMed)
So theres a real biological signal here, but I wouldnt turn the animal data into “Nandrolone gives you a better jaw” as a human claim.
4. Boldenone
Top 3 aesthetic benefits:
• Lean/athletic-looking physique
• More visible muscular definition
• Stronger overall proportions
5. Masteron
Top 3 aesthetic benefits:
• Harder-looking physique
• More visible definition
• More pronounced overall features when already lean
The main point
If we are specifically talking about facial bone growth, the two compounds from this list that are actually worth discussing are Testosterone and Nandrolone.
Testosterone has human evidence showing accelerated craniofacial growth in boys with delayed puberty. Nandrolone has interesting craniofacial data, but the evidence is mainly from animal models. (PubMed)
For the other three, id keep the discussion focused on their actual aesthetic effects instead of forcing a “jaw growth” claim where the evidence isnt there.
Thats also why age matters a lot here. Facial and mandibular growth is closely linked to puberty, so evidence from developing subjects shouldnt automatically be applied to a fully mature adult. (PubMed)
Took me a while to put this basic thread together.
