Every camera is a projection plus a chain of processing, so you will never get a perfect window, but lens distortion doesn’t really exist anymore in phones. What you’re describing is just the perspective distortion from wide angles which is just what happens in normal geometry not something to do with the lens’s reading.

Step back and zoom in slightly using 2x/3x and you’ll be as accurate as can be.
